Step into a wind tunnel, a 120 mph wall of air strong enough to support human weight, and delight in the sensation of freefall without the need to jump out of a plane. Start off with a safety briefing from an instructor before being kitted out with a specialist flight suit. Then take a big step into the wind tunnel with the instructor close at hand and ascend into the air for two electrifying 60-second sessions of flying. As a comparison, a skydive from 10,000 feet gives around 30 seconds of freefall. What’s more, for some participants the expert instructor jumps onto the flow to perform some logic-defying acrobatics. The flying session ends with a debrief.

Availability

Available all year round except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. On weekend, bank holidays and weekdays during school holidays, availability is before 11am and after 7pm.

Weather

The tunnel is indoors and isn’t affected by the weather.
