Enjoy a wild aquatic ride with this seafaring Jet Viper powerboating experience in Southampton. Boasting outstanding manoeuvrability and rapid pace, the 400HP Jet Viper is perfect for performing high-speed spins, wake jumps and water slides across open water. Begin with a safety briefing before boarding the Viper and slowly cruising down the river to Southampton water. Once at sea, the adventure really begins – hold on tight as your skipper picks up the pace and experience this nimble vessels full capabilities through a series of exhilarating side slides, spins, crash stops and donuts! Once back on dry land, receive a debrief and take away a photograph to remember the experience by.
The experience is available on Fridays and weekends between April and October (dates may vary).
This is a weather dependent activity. It’s essential to call the venue for a weather check between 5pm and 7pm the evening before the booking.
Expect to be at the venue for up to 90 minutes, including a briefing, debrief and 60 minutes on the water.
There will be a maximum of 12 participants on the boat, 4 on the Honda’s and 3 on the Thunderbolt – plus instructor
Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the shore. The marina is equipped with a number of restaurants and bars.
Dress warmly and bring waterproofs and a change of clothes. Bear in mind that there is a high wind-chill factor aboard the boat. Wear flat, non-slip shoes (e.g. trainers or deck shoes). An old pair of sunglasses/ski goggles are useful in sun and wind. Life jackets are provided – it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes, soft shoes/trainers, and bring sunglasses, sun lotion and a warm sweater. You will be provided with weatherproof jackets (Not waterproof).
Minimum age is 8, maximum age is 70. Maximum weight is 18 stone. Maximum waist size: 55in/140cm (This is the maximum safe size of the lifejackets). This experience isn’t suitable for anyone with a serious back, neck or heart complaint or for pregnant women.
The venue includes 3 of free parking (£1 per hour after), changing rooms/toilets and an on-site restaurant/bar and café. The experience is operated by qualified commercial skippers and the vessels are coded for commercial use.
