Enter the special and thrilling world of falconry with this bird of prey day near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. Begin by meeting the falconer and taking a guided tour of the centre, seeing all the species in the collection. With plenty of opportunities to ask questions of the professional who has an informal friendly style, expect to learn lots about these majestic creatures. Get introduced to the various types of owls including the Tawny owl. Under guidance from the expert falconer, try flying a bird first-hand and then head out on a hawk walk across the parkland and by the lake. Towards the end of the session, fly an eagle, meet pelicans and even have a go at feeding a vulture. A great day out for any bird lover.

Please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather (strong winds or heavy rain), it can be re-booked for an alternative date.

How long does the experience last?

Expect to be at the venue for approximately six hours with a break for lunch.

How many other people?

A maximum of four participants share the day.

Can I take people to watch?

One spectator is welcome with a fee of £30 payable direct on the day.

What do I wear?

All specialised equipment needed is provided. Country style clothing and stout footwear, along with a camera or binoculars are recommended.

Are there any restrictions?

Minimum age seven (children aged 7 – 16 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult).

Anything Else?

Lunch is not included but there is a cafe and picnic area on site.
