A nice little Experience in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Become a brewer for the day at Cheltenham’s Brewhouse and Kitchen, the ideal treat for a hop-headed beer enthusiast. Step into the pub’s micro-brewery for a talk on the technical aspects of beer making from a resident head brewer and enjoy breakfast before learning to make beer! Next, it’s time to roll up the sleeves and brew some beer under expert tuition. Try your hand at mashing in, boiling and adding hops. After all that hard work, sit down to a tasty pub lunch and sample some of Brewhouse’s very best beers (including The Tin Man, an ale inspired by the Victorian jockey Fred Archer). Finish with a question and answer session and receive a five litre keg of ready-brewed beer as a refreshing souvenir to take home.
Runs every Friday and Saturday throughout the year. Please provide at least two weeks booking notice.
Lasts between six and eight hours, including time for lunch.
There may be up to eight other beer lovers joining you on the day.
Wear old clothes (jeans are recommended, they may get dirty) and leather shoes or wellies for this wet environment.
As this experience involves alcohol, the minimum age is 18.
