A brilliant Experience located handily in Manchester, Greater Manchester.
Take pictures of the great city of Manchester at night and learn how to get the best results when the light is failing. This is the perfect experience for anyone with a DSLR who needs some help in getting the best out of it. The experienced tutor guides you around the city, visiting places with the best vantage points and giving guidance on how to capture light in the evening. The class covers tripod usage, making light trails with shutter speed light effects, using ISO and white balance on your camera and getting to grips with aperture settings for great night time photography.
At least one Wednesday or Thursday evening per month between September and April (due to the late summer sun, this experience doesn’t run between May and August).
The course may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice or severe rain). Please call the venue if in any doubt.
Lasts for approximately two hours.
A maximum of 12 participants share the day.
The tour begins indoors but much of it take place outside, so please dress appropriately with sensible footwear.
Minimum age 16. Participants don’t need previous photography experience, but must have a digital SLR camera (with a basic understanding of the manual settings) and a tripod to take on the day.
The course trainer is a working photographer with an absolute passion for photography.
