A wonderful Experience in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire.
Unlock the delights of the forest with a foraging and wilderness cookery experience. Over the course of two enlightening days, discover the plethora of edible and medicinal plants native to the UK, and the best way to cook with them. Friday begins with a welcome safety briefing before the team sets up camp and lights fires. An exciting itinerary continues with plant and tree identification, making rudimentary tools, foraging and cooking with the found ingredients. There are 76 stunning acres of mixed woodland to roam. The foraging aspect is NCFE IIQ accredited, and, as the entire course has been running for over 20 years, participants are in great hands! Leave with a new understanding of nature’s bounty and replicate the tasty recipes at home.
In 2018, this course is available on 26 – 28 October with more dates to follow.
The course could be cancelled in extreme high winds or impassable snow.
This experience lasts for two days. Arrive at 7pm on Friday and leave at 12pm on Sunday.
