Cakes made from spinach, courgette and other fresh veg? An unusual idea for most of us, but surprisingly delicious and barely discernible from the sugary versions! Take time out together and head to the award-winning Blackberry Cottage, where head baker Kate spends most days bringing budding bakers round to her unique blend of healthy baking using fresh veg. After an introduction to the popular class and its benefits (getting more vitamins without compromising on flavour, persuading kids to eat their five a day), together with like-minded individuals, create delicious cakes and pastries using veggies and different flours alongside regular ingredients. Afterwards, take home an exclusive goodie bag plus the fruits of your labour to enjoy.
Classes run regularly on weekdays and weekends; dates will be confirmed at point of booking.
Classes begin at 10am and finish at 2pm.

The class is unsuitable for spectators.
There is no dress code but comfortable clothing and flat, closed in shoes (as much time is spent standing) are recommended. All equipment is provided.
Both beginners and those with previous cooking experience aged 16 or over are welcome. Please inform the school at the time of booking of any dietary, allergies or specific medical requirements.
Please bring an apron and boxes in which to take your cakes home. Please note, recipes vary and will not all be gluten, sugar or fat free. The key ingredient in all will be fresh vegetables.
