Glimpse the wonderful world of falconry with this fun and informative introduction to birds of prey in Herefordshire. During this intimate session, get up close and personal with a variety of the centre’s wonderful owls, hawks and falcons under the supervision of a resident bird expert. In addition to holding many of these wonderful birds of prey, learn practical falconry techniques and conclude by flying one of the resident birds to the glove to witness their majestic flight from a first-hand perspective. Set in beautiful rural surroundings, this experience is a must for any avid bird watching enthusiast.
Seven days a week all year round, excluding the Christmas period.
Please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date.
Lasts for around three hours. Please arrive at 9.45am for a prompt start at 10am.

One spectator can join you for a £10 cash fee payable on the day. No pets are permitted at the centre on safety grounds.
Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots. Bring a change of clothes if the weather is bad. Don’t forget a camera and/or a pair of binoculars if you have them.
Minimum age 13, under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating adult. Unfortunately, this experience is unsuitable for wheelchair users as the terrain is uneven and unpredictable.
