Take a look at this Supercar Driving Experience available in Regents Park, London.
Take a walk on the wild side with this hair-raising zoo keeper experience at ZSL London Zoo. Receive a safety briefing, before kitting up and stepping into the shoes of the zoo staff for the day. Shadowing one of the park’s animal experts, gain a unique insight into the role of a keeper, by taking on the responsibility of mucking out enclosures and preparing food. Grasp the chance to get up close and personal with the zoo’s residents, including a sociable community of meerkats, a towering family of giraffes and the resident geriatrics – the Galapagos tortoises. Guests receive a complimentary lunch (sandwich or hot meal, a snack and a hot or cold drink) and afternoon refreshments, as well as an exclusive ‘Keeper for the Day’ t-shirt to take home.
The experience takes place all year round on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, excluding Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and public holidays.
ZSL London Zoo’s keepers work in all conditions so the weather should not affect the experience, although the itinerary may change slightly if conditions are unsuitable for any aspect of the day.
The experience begins at 8.45am – expect to be at the venue for around seven hours, including an hour for lunch.
Expect to share the experience with up to four other enthusiasts and a qualified zoo keeping host.
The experience is exclusively for fee paying voucher holders but friends and family can spend the day in the zoo (entry tickets can be purchased from 10am). A 20 per cent discount is offered to spectators.
Wear practical clothes suitable for outdoors in sometimes muddy and mucky conditions, with sturdy shoes or boots.
Minimum age is 16 with a reasonable level of fitness. The experience is not suitable for pregnant women, those who have given birth within the previous six months and is impractical for wheelchair users.
