We really like this Outdoor Activities Experience in Knutsford, Cheshire.
Calling all lovers of meerkats, ferrets or owls, or better yet all three? This is a unique chance to enter the world of these three animals and feed or handle them. Begin the day getting to know the meerkats and enter their world and discover their inquisitive nature as they happily explore their environment. Once you have had your time with them, it is time to meet some of the owls. Handle and fly these majestic birds before meeting the ferrets. Ferrets may seem like a fearsome predator but when you get close to them discover just how cuddly they really are. Spend the rest of the day exploring the rest of the park and be sure to look out for regular flying displays of various birds and a chance to get involved with some vulture feeding.
Seven days a week throughout the year. Dates fill up quickly, so book at least four weeks in advance, or even earlier for summer weekend dates.
Cancellation will only occur in extreme weather conditions and in that event, would be re-booked for an alternative date. If in doubt please call the venue to confirm.
It lasts one and a half ours but please feel free to spend as long as you wish exploring the park after the experience.
A maximum of three people take part at any one time.
One spectator is welcome and charged at the current admission rate (adults £7.50, concessions £6 and children £5).
Dress for the outdoors, with wellingtons or walking boots. Bring a change of clothes if the weather is particularly bad.
From junction 19 of the M6 take the A556 towards Northwich. At the first set of traffic lights turn left for Knutsford. At the main roundabout turn left and continue on the A50 for approx half a mile. Gauntlet is on the left, immediately after Cottons Hotel.
Minimum age is 10. The park has wheelchair accessibility.
Why not bring along a camera and/or a pair of binoculars if you have them? And it would be a shame not to catch one of the flying displays that take place throughout the day.
