A great Experience within easy reach of several locations..
Porsche continue to make some of the world’s most iconic and exciting sports cars. With handling and acceleration that has to be experienced to be believed, find out what makes these cars legendary. Start off with a short briefing from a qualified instructor. What happens next depends on the venue (options at Elvington, Lydden Hill, Smeartharpe, Mallory Park, Dunsfold Park, Prestwold, Leeds Raceway, Thruxton and Upper Heyford circuits). Tear around for between six and seven miles in the 997 version of the 911, or drive the awesome 996 Turbo for between four and five laps. Buckle up and enjoy the pinnacle of German engineering with this sports car driving experience!
Availability varies by venue, but is generally a mix of weekdays and weekends. Dates fill very quickly, allow several weeks advance booking notice. There is a £10 upgrade fee for Lydden Hill and Mallory Park, payable on booking.
Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous.
Depending on the venue, this experience lasts from one to two hours in total, including approximately 10 minutes driving time.
All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There are likely to be other vehicles on the track at the same time.
Spectators are welcome. Food and refreshments are available at all venues. Some offer other extra (chargeable) drives and passenger rides. Pets are not permitted at any circuit.
Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. A helmet is provided.
Restrictions (on height and weight) vary between locations so please check all details before booking. A full manual driving licence (12 months minimum at some venues) must be held.
Some venues take drivers round the circuit in a hot hatch or a sports saloon to find the best racing lines before driving the Porsche.
